What’s New in the?
PlaylistEx is a simple, easy to use application designed to export your files from a playlist. This is a very useful tool if you have a nice playlist and want to copy your music files out of it.
Differences to other similar utilities:
PlaylistEx’s unique feature is the possibility to apply a standard text (ex. ASCI/HEX) style to the text strings found in the playlist. So you can easily mark text strings from the playlist and export them as new tracks. This is made possible by placing a number of buttons in the layout for each text string. Each button can be filled with a given color. The result is that you can easily change the style of the text in a playlist and export only the style that you want. If you want the original text string, you can simply place another button next to the first and change its color to match the original one.
The design of PlaylistEx is clean and simple. It’s written in Visual Basic and doesn’t require 3rd party.dll’s, so it works on all OS platforms. The export is done via Unicode, so you can save the files as UTF-8 as well. The layout is very simple and easy to use.
The only known issue I have is that the Export option doesn’t seem to work for some reasons. This only happens when there’s more than 100 text strings in the playlist. I’m investigating this right now…
PlaylistEx works on all major platforms: Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 10.1, Windows Mobile
Thanks to all of the developers who have made software like this possible. I would also like to thank all of the users who have sent me feedback and bug reports to help me fix these issues.
