Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

Autodesk, Inc. was founded in 1982 by John Walker, Ben Lee, and Andreas Lilja with an initial investment of $150,000. The company’s first product, AutoCAD, was launched in December 1982 and subsequently became one of the most widely used design tools worldwide.
The success of the desktop version of AutoCAD spurred development of a similar application for the Apple Macintosh computer platform in 1984. Autodesk’s first public demonstration of AutoCAD for the Mac was held at the 1984 Winter NACAD conference in Brea, California. The original version of AutoCAD for the Macintosh did not initially feature true AutoCAD functionality, but rather a functional implementation of the 2D drafting program MicroStation, first released in 1983. However, the initial version of AutoCAD for Macintosh incorporated a basic type toolkit that supported the addition of “AutoCAD” functionality to the Mac version.
In 1986, the company was reorganized and Tom Pollock became the new CEO. By the end of 1987, the company had established itself as a leader in the design and engineering software industry.
The company acquired the graphics hardware division of Sybex (an educational publisher) in 1987, resulting in the name “AutoCAD Systems”. The company now offered a complete desktop solution for creating 2D and 3D design and documentation. As the company gained market share, the costs associated with running the company became more difficult, and the company had to sell off its operations in Australia and Europe.
In 1989, the company was named one of the largest privately held companies by Fortune magazine.
In 1991, a line of laser plotting devices, called DXL, was released. These plotters were based on the CGA standard and connected to AutoCAD via a serial port. Other plotster models followed, including CXL and the first plotters to incorporate the VDI standard: DXLII, DXLII+, DXLII/V and DXLII/V/E. They were collectively referred to as DXL devices. The DXLII/V/E series were also known as the “AutoCAD 2000” series.
In 1993, AutoCAD was renamed “AutoCAD 2000” and included such features as the capability to create blocks, a partial-volume function, and part numbering and generation tools. AutoCAD 2000 was

The original R14 editor (R14.5) supports basic programming with ‘define’ statements. R15 allows more scripting to be created, but the general purpose of the editor in terms of editing drawings and creating many types of objects and 3D models has remained unchanged since the release of R12.
In the past, the R15 editor provided a custom interface. This interface allowed users to make changes and interactions between the user and the software. It was possible to add new objects, new tools and editing functions, which would be listed in the commands palette. On top of this, the R14 editor could be extended by creating custom palette entries. These were lists of custom functions that would be called when specific events occurred. This allowed very simple scripting to be used. The R14 editor was made available via Internet access, and by using external libraries, many improvements were made in the editor. The R15 editor was developed using the Visual LISP language, which added more features such as looping structures. The LISP language is primarily used to create custom functions that can be called in the editor or via command line.
The R15 editor is also designed to be used with programming languages that support the Visual LISP language. These include AutoLISP, Visual LISP and VBA. The editor’s interface is designed to be highly flexible, allowing almost any object to be created. The use of the Visual LISP language allows objects to be extended and used to create anything from simple line drawings to complex 3D models and data structures.
The R15 editor also features the ability to import and export models, along with DXF and DXML files. This allows anything that can be created with the editor to be easily transferred to other programs.
In the past the editor interface was integrated with the Windows Forms design technology in both the R15 and R14.5 versions of AutoCAD.
The R15 editor is, like the R14 editor, a graphic user interface (GUI) application. The R15 editor is designed to be used via the integrated Graphical User Interface.
The R15 editor can be used to edit and create:
2D and 3D curves
2D and 3D surfaces
Free form solids

Quick, name the three books from which you took most inspiration.
Well, I’m sure you have a lot more than just those three, but let’s just go with those three for a minute.
For me, these are my three:
Ursula K. Le Guin’s A Wizard of Earthsea, Joe Haldeman’s The Forever War, and Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
These are the three books that made me want to be a writer. These are the three that made me want to become an author. And these are the three that are still my favorite books of all time.
And yet, all of those works, while incredible and great, are not books from which I have taken most inspiration.
For me, the book that has inspired me most is:
The Book of Samurai, by Miyamoto Musashi.
I read it when I was in 7th grade, and it changed my life. It was the first time I saw an author who was a samurai and a writer, and it inspired me to want to become both.
You see, the book is written with such a plain, unassuming tone. The author is clear, candid, and frank. He tells you exactly what he thinks. And he is such a man of the book, because he wrote it with the same book and the same pen that he used to fight his opponent, Mitsunari Tokugawa, who challenged him to a duel.
I like to think that Musashi inspired a generation of writers to seek a balance between their books and their lives. This, in turn, inspired a generation of writers to write the type of books I love.
The book itself is about the life and times of Miyamoto Musashi, one of the most important figures in Japanese history. He fought and killed over 50 opponents, and he was a renowned samurai, a fencing master, and a writer.
He also wrote The Book of Five Rings, which is something that fascinates me to this day. Musashi wrote this book just after he had killed his first opponent, and he saw the world through a different lens after that. His life was changed by this event, and I can see why.
He wrote not just about his experiences, but about how he would live his life. This is what I think of when I think of

Installer size is around 15 MB for the game, but you will need to have any 3rd party Java installed in order to get this installer.
The installer has been made with install4j, and the game is run with ColdFusion. This means that you will need to have ColdFusion installed in order to run the game. The installer will also add the ‘play.cfm’ script to your web root, so the game will be accessible through a standard URL.
