How Autodesk Launched Its First Commercial CAD System
AutoCAD was developed in 1982 by a small team of eight Autodesk employees who began working on the product that would become the first commercial CAD system.
The development team was formed in the mid-1970s when Autodesk was composed of only one group that was tasked with building an application to generate engineering drawings on a small business computer.
To prepare the technology, the team looked for a drawing program that was easy to use and required few tools. At the time, there were two major drafting programs in use:
Drape/Draw, which ran on Apple II computers, was an early personal computer (PC) drawing program that ran on the Apple II line of computers. It was the first commercially successful PC drafting program.
Thinline, which was developed by Ed Simmer, ran on the Osborne 1, the first commercially available microcomputer that was sold with a software bundle for building business applications, and it was used to create architectural and engineering drawings.
The team chose to create a CAD program that would work in both of these environments, but which would also be easy for users who had never seen a computer before.
Apple: The First Self-Sustaining CAD System
In 1977, Autodesk purchased the right to develop CAD applications for the Apple II line of personal computers. The team had always had an interest in Apple computers because of their superior graphics abilities. But they were also drawn to Apple because the company had started to sell its own computers. The Apple II line of computers cost $1,295 to $1,995, and were used for business applications, including drafting.
Autodesk needed to use the Apple II to develop a viable commercial product. Drawing on their experience with the Apple II, and previous Apple computers, the team set to work to develop a new CAD program.

Is the regex returning matches for every line in my string?
I am trying to use the below regex to find if the first part of the string is equal to the the last part of the string and the whole string is on the same line.
The regex I am using is (.*)(@.*)
Check that the first word in the string is the last word of the string.

The best way to do what you’re trying to do would be to use a single regular expression to test every line of the text string separately.
