The basic edition of Photoshop Elements has most of the tools that professional Photoshop users need. For example, you can use it to remove background objects, change or remove pixels, add borders, crop photos, adjust brightness, contrast, and color, sharpen images, and more.

When you start Photoshop Elements, you can create a new document. As the name implies, you can use this new document to start your edits right away.

To get started, open an image and drag it into the active image window.

(The name of the document may be blank if you create a new document.)

Press Alt + D to open the menu, choose Edit, then duplicate the active image.

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia due to 21-hydroxylase deficiency is the most common form of hyperandrogenism in women. Classically, patients present with hirsutism, acne or both. In order to define the phenotypic spectrum of the disease and to better characterize its clinical features in a large series, we studied 100 patients with the diagnosis of congenital adrenal hyperplasia due to 21-hydroxylase deficiency. The diagnosis was based on clinical criteria and plasma levels of steroids and 17-ketosteroids. The severity of hyperandrogenism was evaluated by the Ferriman and Gallwey score. Clinical data were collected prospectively in all patients by one investigator, using a standard questionnaire. Clinical and biochemical data were available for 100 patients. By our definition, 65% were females, and 35% were males. Age of onset of androgenic symptoms varied from birth to puberty in most patients. At diagnosis, 46% of patients were with severe or moderate hyperandrogenism; 60% had acne, 30% had hirsutism, and 85% had androgenic alopecia. The mean age of onset of acne was 9 years (range 0-16 years). In addition to mild to moderate hyperandrogenism, subfertility or premature pubarche were observed in only 24% of patients. The most commonly associated disorders were hypothyroidism (32%), obesity (21%) and glucose intolerance (15%). Twenty-eight percent of patients had additional symptoms suggestive of disorders of either the pituitary or the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis (3% had Cushing disease, 5% hyperprolactinemia, 2% amenorrhea, and 7% hypothyroidism). Twenty-eight percent of patients had a congenital malformation or mental retardation. The findings in patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia due to 21-hydroxylase deficiency differ significantly from the phenotype previously reported for disorders of adrenal androgen synthesis. These differences are not easily explained, but could reflect subtle differences in the expression of the disease in different populations.Q:
