JBoss is a open-source Java EE-based application server. First of all, I would like to point out that I have used Ubuntu 14.04 for a long time and decided to move to Ubuntu 15.04 yesterday. Everything on my system (I have 4 computers at home) is working without a problem, except Virtualbox. The reason I have decided to reinstall Ubuntu is that I would like to test the availability of software I use (Gmail web, VLC, Firefox) on the new operating system (notice that I still use Windows 7).
By the way, my notebook is a Lenovo X220 and I can say that Ubuntu is a great alternative for the Windows operating system.
My question is about Virtualbox. I created a virtual machine using Ubuntu 14.04 and installed there the following softwares: Skype, Gimp, LibreOffice, Minecraft, VLC. From the moment I start the virtual machine, a window comes up saying: “I:Waiting for network configuration” and after a short while it disappears and no matter what I do I can not start it. As you can see in the picture below, it displays the correct network configuration:
The following is my guest OS:
It’s a Ubuntu 14.04 LTS based operating system, 32 bits version.
My host OS:
It’s a Windows 7, 32 bits.
Virtualbox information:
The main differences between my systems (host and guest) are in the following:

the graphic card. My host operating system uses a graphic card Nvidia Geforce GT 540M, while in the virtual environment, I use an Intel Graphic card.
the version of Virtualbox (I also have a version number): Virtualbox 5.1.13.

There’s a problem with some recent Virtualbox version on the current upstream branch, that causes this behavior when booting in “shared” mode (as opposed to “headless” mode). This does not happen when I boot in “headless” mode (i.e., no video). The support forums should be able to help.
Also note that Ubuntu has been providing “multiarch” (32/64 bit versions of most software) for quite a while now. You need to install the “lib32*” and “lib64*” packages.
From memory:
sudo apt-get install lib32gcc1 lib32stdc++6
