The rainbow of colors

The color of any image (whether a photo, a scanned document, or a vector graphic) is defined by its _color profile,_ which converts the RGB values from your camera into a set of CMYK (Cyan-Magenta-Yellow-Black) values. You can think of CMYK values as a rainbow of colors, as shown in Table 6-2, and this scheme is referred to as the _Perceived Colorspace_ or _Relative Colorimetric Color Space._

Adobe has expanded the software’s functionality over time, but like most modern image editors, Photoshop Elements comes with a host of powerful features. Most of the features can be unlocked using Creative Cloud, which is included free with a subscription to Photoshop.

There are three types of software subscriptions, either for standalone, standalone with creative cloud, and standalone with creative cloud plus Photoshop. I’m reviewing standalone version for Windows and Mac (full disclosure, I am compensated by Adobe to host the download link).

Design and editing tools

The image editor contains all the basic features. There are six editing tools:

Pixel Ruler

Layers and Smart Object

Crop Tool

A canvas represents a specific area of the image. The area can be of different shapes, such as rectangle, circle, or ellipse.

The size of the canvas can be adjusted by clicking and dragging the corners or sides. There are no options to adjust the dimension when changing the canvas size.

Each time you change the canvas size it changes the image’s size, not the dimensions of the canvas. The pixel size of the canvas stays the same as the size of the canvas changes.

The canvas size can be adjusted in inches or centimeters.

All the curves can be adjusted in the Curves dialog. It’s divided into 9 tabs that switch between different functions such as curves and hue-saturation-lightness.

You can move a curve up or down the curve’s curve. You can see the current shape of the curve by clicking on the bottom of the graph. You can add new shapes and edit existing curves.

If you move a point on the curve left or right, it also moves the point on the canvas’ curve.

The yellow line indicates the path of the curve.

Plug-ins are software that gives the programs new features. They have specific features that make them unique and add new functionality to Photoshop Elements. In the plug-ins tab, you can enable or disable the plug-ins in the following categories:

Image processing

Video or audio editing

Post-production effects

After Effects plug-ins

In the image processing tab, there are numerous image processing plug-ins

Photoshop covers various tasks for faster and better workflow
The following are quick tips to get you going quickly:

Even when you have used an image for some time, you may use a specific tool to open the file. For example, if you use the Smart Object’s “Open as Smart Object” feature, you can work on your layer without losing the original image.

The Panorama Tool allows you to quickly stitch images together. You can zoom in and out, adjust layer visibility, hide areas from the panorama, or crop it. After you have finished stitching, you can rotate the image, crop it, and apply other adjustments.

Most RAW to JPEG workflow requires a basic understanding of RAW editing and conversion
The following are tips for the most common RAW to JPEG conversion tasks.

Converting RAW to JPEG with CS6 can be done from one of the three panels, or by using the command line. You can run the RAW converter directly from Photoshop, or from the browser’s menu.

If you would like to convert from RAW to JPEG only one layer, export a JPEG from the Layers panel and select that as the new source in the Layers panel, instead of the option “File > Save for Web & Devices.” Do this before exporting.

When working with black-and-white images, it may be easier to work in the RGB channels in Photoshop. Black-and-white presets are available, and the color selection and masking features work in the RGB channels the same as in the CMYK channels.

When working on a CMYK image in the RGB (or LAB) channel, you should convert your CMYK document to RGB before clipping to the black and white channels. Then, after finishing clipping, convert your document back to CMYK. Also, when saving for web, convert to either RGB or CMYK—you do not need to add the blue and yellow in the CMYK conversion.

Sometimes a specific effect is needed to tone down a certain part of an image, but not be a complete pixel editing—like removing blue toning or pulling a color out of an image. For such tasks, the Tonal Range Finder tool is useful.Q:

Execute code after element scrolled into viewport

is there a way to execute javascript code after a div has scrolled into viewport.
For example : after 1.000ms of the div was scrolled into viewport, execute code.

Yup! That’s what scroll. We call it animation when we’re talking about CSS; sometimes we use the word “slide” for that, but “scroll” is fine as well.
Here is a page from the documentation (scroll down to the end):
In the code, every time the scroll position changes, you have the window.onload function called, which creates an interval that will fire every.1 millisecond for the next 1000ms. That interval will then create another interval that will loop that function over again every.1 milliseconds until you stop.
The key for you will be the binding to the scroll position. You set the element or location to match the scroll position.

function bindScroll() {
var y=window.scrollY;

setInterval(function () {
if(y>=500) {
console.log(‘Yay! We are in view!’);
if(y>=1000) {
console.log(‘Nope. We are still in view!’);
}, 100);

window.addEventListener(‘scroll’, bindScroll, false);

What you’re doing here is binding an event that will fire every time you scroll. I did set the interval to.1ms for fun, since there’s already something that fires every time you scroll; but you could make this a lot more efficient by only firing once every time the element is within a certain
