In Search for Magic is a platform game with a simple premise: go through levels and collect all the magic beans and make the magic train to complete the level.
You control a little boy through 10 hand-drawn 2D levels, using a touch screen and a chunky PS Vita gamepad to navigate. You’ll need to jump, avoid enemies, dodge traps, blow things up, and explore the environment to collect the magic.
Since the game was designed by a small team of people, it includes a lot of easter eggs and gameplay hints to help you to complete each level and the game. Some of them are:
– You can touch the screen to make a colorful light show
– Jumping on a monster will make it crash back down to the ground
– Use bombs to blow away pillars
– Use chain to swing from platforms
– Press the touch screen to make a magical portal to take you to new worlds
– Collect magic balls
– Find mystery stories hidden everywhere
– Use different magical skills
– And much more…
